This announcement was made in conjunction with

Global Accessibility Awareness Day as part of a list ofnew accessibility updates across Lookout, Google Maps, and more, and is strong validation that Auracast™ broadcast audio will soon be the next generation of assistive listening in public spaces, increasing audio accessibility for all.

While it will be critical for hearing instrument users to understand which locations support this new broadcast capability, they are not the only ones who will benefit from the presence of Auracast™ broadcast audio in public venues. The impact of this new Bluetooth capability in public locations will extend beyond hearing assistance.
